In the National Assembly yesterday ACDP MP Cheryllyn Dudley voted in
favor of the Counterfeit Goods Amendment Bill. Herewith please find her
speech:


The ACDP is firmly of the opinion that people own their intellectual
property rights and we believe these rights, should be protected.

Biblical law speaks very clearly about property. First of all it
declares that all property, the earth itself and all creation belongs to
God. Secondly God established man in the possession of property under
God as a basic aspect of the life of the family and as an essential of
the economy of the family. Thirdly God made property man's basic earthly
security. Every attack on private property is therefore an attack on
mans liberty; and theft of any form of property is not to be tolerated.
We also believe we should honour our agreements.

For these reasons the ACDP will vote in favor of this bill.
