ACDP Votes Against the Education Budget

Cheryllyn Dudley MP (ACDP)

Thursday, 20 June 2002

Madam Speaker/Chair

African Christian Democratic Party MP Cheryllyn Dudley today registered the ACDP’s vote against the Education Budget Vote in the following declaration in Parliament today:

The ACDP is unable to support the education budget for the following reasons:

Large amounts of public funds have been placed in the hands of PPASA to implement the Lifeskills HIV/Aids and Sexuality education in schools and
The Education Laws Amendment Bill will further undermine School Governing Bodies.

PPASA or Planned Parenthood won the tender for Sex Education in schools. They are proudly anti-family, pro-abortion, pro-licentious sex and deviant life styles such as homosexuality.
The founder of Planned Parenthood, was motivated by her belief that the marriage bed is the most denigrating influence of society and her belief that birth control and abortion would eliminate what she called “the weeds of the world” and “genetically inferior races”. She of course started by placing her abortion clinics in the black and Hispanic areas in the USA. Now Africa and especially South Africa has opened its arms to these diabolical schemes.

The Life Skills and HIV/Aids Education: A manual and resource guide for intermediate Phase School Teachers by PPASA says grade 4’s(10 yr olds) are to be taught by the teacher about sexual intercourse, and that it is “essential” for children by “at least” grade 6(12 yr olds) to have a clear understanding of the exact mechanics of how to give a female an orgasm, including how a female or male can give a woman oral sex or manual stimulation.

PPASA tells teachers: “Learners need to understand that their feelings about homosexuals are based on irrational prejudice rather than fact”.
Worksheets ask children if it feels OK to “caress to orgasm” or have “intercourse” with an “acquaintance”, “Good friend same sex”, “Good friend other sex”, “your date”…no mention is made of a husband or wife. Marriage of course is a dirty word for PPASA.

There are many other Pro-family organisations who have excellent HIV/Aids, Life, Love and Sex education curricula available like “No Apologies” by Focus on the Family and these should replace PPASA.

The ACDP does not support this budget.
