HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA PROMOTED THROUGH COURT RULING
Cheryllyn Dudley MP (ACDP)
Wednesday, 11 September 2002
Cheryllyn Dudley MP for the African Christian Democratic Party in response to yesterdays Constitutional Court ruling which now allows gays and lesbians to jointly adopt children said, The Constitutional Court ruling is a tragic blow to South African society but not unexpected in view of not only the bill of rights which opened the door but legislation like the Equality Act and proposals by the law commission which further target marriage and family. The deconstruction of marriage and family is on the global agenda and the South African constitution and leadership are squarely in line with this agenda as seen in President Mbekis proposals at the world summit.
Mrs Dudley further said, The ACDP stands for family values and the strengthening of the family unit, which is the basic building block of strong healthy communities and a strong healthy nation. According to statistics, children who grow up in single sex parented homes are clearly disadvantaged and the consequences are often tragic. Making laws, which proclaim faulty substitutes are the real thing, will only compound our problems. It is unacceptable and manipulative for a court ruling to pervert the definition of family. The many orphaned and already traumatised children in our nation do need loving homes but this does not necessitate laws proclaiming lies. These children also need our protection.
In conclusion Mrs Dudley said, There are no longer any limits to human behaviour thanks to our super liberal constitution and the new morality in South Africa calls for individuals to satisfy their appetites at every and any level with no regard to consequences. This can only lead to devastation and destruction.
