ACDP SUPPORTS PAP'S DAFUR MISSION

The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) supports the Pan African Parliaments observer mission to Dafur, Sudan. PAP decided to send a team of observers to Dafur, during its 2nd session in Gauteng, South Africa several weeks ago.
It dispatched the observer team to Dafur, Sudan, at the weekend.
ACDP MP and Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Mighty Madasa, is the only South African, who is part of the observer mission, thats been tasked to investigate the situation in Dafur. 6 others from other African countries are also part of the team.
The task team will meet with Sudanese Government Officials, Dafurs Parliamentary Caucus and representatives of International and non-governmental organisations, as well as Humanitarian organisations. They are also expected to visit the Refugee Camps and Internal Displaced Camps throughout the region.
Meetings and briefings with the African Union (AU) will also take place.
The team is also expected to make recommendations on measures to be taken to solve the conflict in the region.
Mighty Madasa will be available for telephonic interviews, during the course of the Dafur mission.
