Condolences to Mandela family


The ACDP President said today from Johannesburg "According to ancient Hebrew wisdom, the hardest thing that a man can do is to say goodbye to his own son. A father of the nation has lost his only surviving son and we therefore share his grief. Mr. Nelson Mandela has faced many trials in his life, but surely this must be the saddest."

Our prayers are with him and his family, especially his other children and grandchildren at this time. The late Mr. Makgatho Mandela was a man who was successful in his own right, and as such, his father is naturally very proud of him. He set an example in personal achievement that was accomplished largely through his own strength of character. The nation is therefore proud of him.

The ACDP President offers his heartfelt condolences along with those of the party membership to the family of Makgato Lewanika Mandela, including his father, his sons Mandla, Ndaba, Mbuso, and Andile as well as his sister Pumla Makaziwe.
