ACDP not in alliance with ANC
Rev. Hawu Mbatha, ACDP Provincial Leader, KZN
The ACDP is surprised by the comments made by IFP leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi today on the SABC 2 programme Morning Live claiming an alliance between the ANC and the ACDP was formed in exchange for positions.
The ACDP denies that there is any truth in this statement or any other reports claiming that the ACDP has aligned itself with the ANC for the upcoming local government elections.
This is absolutely not true, said Rev. Hawu Mbatha, the ACDPs Provincial Leader in KZN. In fact, the ACDP has always fought elections on its own and intends doing so in future.
We have no idea how Dr. Buthelezi could have come to this conclusion. We have never been in alliance with the ANC. Our understanding is that Dr Buthelezis IFP is ruling KZN together with the ANC and the Minority Front. It is the leader of the IFP in KZN parliament that nominated the ANC premier for KZN.
