SA Rugby management must not step down
Selby Khumalo, MP

The ACDP does not support the call for SA Rugby management to step down.

The SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) and Sport Minister Makhenkensi Stofile must apply necessary wisdom to the situation and consult with the presidential council of rugby. And abide by the electorate’s processes.

Since the unification of sport in the country in 1992, many strategies have been applied to no avail.

Calling for management to step down does not solve the problems rugby is currently facing and can only amount to constitutional chaos in the sport.

We would therefore urge them to seek avenues that will complement the current process undertaken to solve the rugby crisis – the re-election of the top 5 leadership set to take place on June 17.
