ACDP calls for Post Traumatic Stress Counselling for Police Officers

Kent Durr, African Christian Democratic Party MP and member of the NCOP gave the following Notice of Motion in the House today:


The House calls upon the South African Police to make it compulsory for Police Officers to undergo post traumatic stress counselling for officers who are exposed to traumatic stress in the line duty;

The House notes that the R1200 medical aid allowance is insufficient to undergo treatment provided.
