1. The Minster was quoted in the radio this morning as having said
that the recent terrorist attacks in the USA could negatively affect
plans for privatisation;

2. Could the Minister explain his specific concerns and reasons for
making such a statement;

3. If the quote is incorrect what are the relevant details?

The Minster's Response:

· The backlash on airways will have a negative impact; therefore
we are concerned regarding selling at bargain basement prices.
· This however, will not affect governments' resolve to
privatise.
