Louis Green MP
Friday, 31 August 2001
African Christian Democratic Party MP Louis Green today expressed shock
and regret at the announcement of ANC MP Andrew Feinstein's resignation.
He said "Andrew Feinstein's resignation is a great loss to the ANC,
parliament as a whole and in particular to the standing committee on
public accounts in which Feinstein played an integral part."
Mr Green said that Andrew Feinstein's uncompromising stance particularly
in the area of corruption was commendable and praiseworthy. "Parliament
needs more people such as this man, who will stand up for what is right
and just," said Mr Green.
Mr Green thanked Feinstein for what he called an invaluable contribution
in particular to the role of Scopa in the Arms Deal. Mr Green went on to
wish him every success in the future.
