| Biblical principals are the foundation on which the ACDP has been
established and therefore form the basis of all party policy (Psalm
127:1).
The ACDP believes that the government exists for two very specific
purposes:
to regulate society as a ruler of men in the attitude of a servant
to God;
to do this to the benefit of all who submit under it (Romans 13:4).
The following three foundational principals run as a common thread
throughout all policy and cannot be divorced from it:
All authority and law originates from God, therefore obedience
brings blessing to a nation and disobedience brings cursing (Duet.
28);
The family is the basic building block, which God has instituted
to build strong righteous nations;
Decentralisation of power prevents the rise of orders such as dictatorships,
nazism and communism.
The ACDP believes in the separation between Church (religious institutions)
and State. The purpose of the State is not to promote any specific
organisation or group.
Nevertheless it is understood that God and State must not be separated.
It is not only the right of godly men and women to be involved in
State structures and to be employed by the State, but it is their
duty to do so, where God has ordained.
